One thing that we always need and never seem to have around when we want one is a contract. As artists we need contracts when we sell or rent work directly to a collector; when we consign or sell work to a gallery; when we accept a commission; when we exhibit our work; when we sell reproduction rights to a publisher; or when we lend work to a museum. Many times trying to find standard contracts that address these artistic situations can be difficult - especially if you don't live in or around a large city. Too often we may find ourselves relying on a verbal agreement or hope that the Gallery has a fair contract for us to sign. This is not a very good business practice and can result in a lot of problems. We here at Cegur’s Chimera Gallery are happy to give you relief from the contract burden. Thus far, we have prepared nine standard contracts that you can either copy to your computer or print directly to your printer. Each contract is black type on a plain white background so you can decide later whether you want to print them on designer paper or add your logo to the top or background. These contracts can be modified to suit you or your clients needs...remember, they are not written in stone, just written on the Internet. So that you will not have a back button or other links appearing on your contracts when they print we have not included any links on the contract pages.
