By now the ceiling was dry so, I decided to paint in the lighting fixtures which consisted of fabric chandeliers and Chinese lanterns. This took a few sessions as the fabric chandeliers are a rather important feature of the ballroom and I wanted to convey as much detail as I could determine from the original photographs.
(Please forgive the quality of these photos as my studio and home are still under construction and I am not set-up to photograph at my best).

Here is a detail of the fabric chandelier. This will be given a bit more glow in the final stage of the painting process.
