Sandi L. Kozlowski is a self-employed artist and owner of SLK Designs. She paints commissions for corporate as well as private collectors. Sandi resides in Munster, Indiana and received her BFA from Calumet College in 1982 Magna Cum Laude. Her instructors were George Schneider and Bob Anderson from the Art Institute of Chicago. She is mainly a multi-media artist working on canvas and is currently exploring art three-dimensionally. She has exhibited her work locally as well as in Chicago and other Illinois suburbs.

"I consider my work to be abstract-surrealism. The basic medium I use in a piece is acrylic on canvas. A concept is in place before I begin with a representation of a single object or a particular thought or attitude. I have found that with the addition of various media and selected objects, I can further pull these ideas together into a working relationship. Textures and a three-dimensional quality help create illusions within a piece. Other media used include prismacolor, rice papers and found objects."
