INNER ARTWORK
42" x 30" . I really drew on the Egyptian feeling of a Camel cigarette pack. I photographed a model posing in very difficult Ancient Egyptian-type poses. The canvas is divided into 3 scenes: The back poarch, the balcony and the party inside. The top and two sides of the canvas are bordered by matchbooks. The figures were painted in watercolor and then gone over with prismacolor pencils. The background of the back poarch and the Chicago skyline were painted in oils and overlaid with rice paper. The figures, the wall, the ashtrays and the center bottom piece are floating as various layers on foamcore.
